Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how TLG YouTube Studio ("the application", "we", "us") accesses, uses, stores and deletes data when you connect a Google account and YouTube channel to the application.
1. About the application
TLG YouTube Studio is a desktop application that runs on the user's own computer. It is used to organize video projects and publish videos to YouTube channels that the user owns or manages. The application uses the YouTube API Services.
2. Google and YouTube data we access
When you connect a channel, you sign in through Google's own consent screen. Depending on the permissions you approve, the application may access:
- Basic channel information – such as the channel ID and channel name, used to confirm which channel is connected (
youtube.readonly). - Video upload access – used to upload videos you choose to publish to your channel (
youtube.upload). - YouTube account management – used to manage the videos the application publishes for you, such as setting the title, description, thumbnail, privacy status and scheduled publish time (
youtube).
We do not access your Google password. Sign-in is handled entirely by Google.
3. How we use this data
Google and YouTube data is used only to provide the application's features that you request: identifying the connected channel and uploading and managing your videos on that channel. We do not use this data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it for any purpose unrelated to these features.
4. Storage
All data, including the authorization credentials Google issues when you approve access, is stored locally on the computer where the application is installed. We do not operate a server that receives or stores your Google or YouTube data.
5. Sharing
We do not share, sell or transfer Google or YouTube user data to third parties. Data is exchanged only between the application on your computer and Google/YouTube in order to perform the actions you request.
6. Limited Use disclosure
TLG YouTube Studio's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
7. Revoking access and deleting data
- In the application: disconnect the channel from the application's channel settings.
- In your Google Account: revoke access at any time from the Google security settings page. After revocation, the application can no longer access your channel.
- Removing all local data: uninstalling the application and deleting its data folder removes all data stored by the application on your computer.
- Step-by-step instructions are on the Data Deletion page.
Because we do not store your data on our servers, there is no server-side data to delete. If you need help, contact us at the address below.
8. Security
Data stays on your computer and is protected by your computer's own account and security settings. Communication with Google and YouTube uses encrypted HTTPS connections. We recommend keeping your computer and operating system protected with a password.
9. YouTube and Google
By connecting a YouTube channel to the application, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
10. Children
The application is not intended for use by children under 13.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
